FENZ speaks on fires caused by battery powered devices

Earlier this month an iPad left inside a parked car in Mount Manganui exploded after its lithium battery overheated. The device was sitting on a blanket, fueling a car fire. There's also been five fires in rubbish and recycling trucks in Auckland so far this year. The council said they're most likely caused by battery powered devices being dumped in household bins. Fire and Emergency community educator, Tom Ronaldson spoke to Lisa Owen.
