Should the parlimentary term be extended to four years?

The government will introduce legislation that could see the parlimentary term extended from three years to four. There is a catch though - it will be subject to a referendum. In an announcement, Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith said the standard term of parliament will remain at three years but this allows the ability to push it out to four years.
