Calls for Christchurch's rebuild plan to be reworked

There are calls for Christchurch's ambitious rebuild plan to go back to the drawing board in light of a critical new report into the Christchurch City Council's finances. The interim report by the financial consultancy KordaMentha shows the costs for rebuild projects are likely to rise, some quake damaged assets were underinsured, and insurance payouts may not be as high as budgeted.
