A former train driver turned country cop has gone full circle and now spends his days escorting tourists along a Bay of Plenty railway line. When Paul Francis was looking at setting up Awakeri Rail Adventures his wife thought he'd be better getting a job at Bunnings. However Paul says he's never lost his love of railway; he enjoys the scenery, railway's rich history and these days, the people he meets.
