Every week on Culture 101 we welcome a guest to share the love and shout out to some current favourite arts and culture.
This week’s guest is actor and writer Michelle Langstone. The Tamaki Makaurau-based actor is best known for her work on McLeod’s Daughters, Almighty Johnsons, 800 Words and One Lane Bridge.
She’s won two Voyager Media Awards for her writing and is a regular contributor to The NZ Herald, The Spinoff and North & South.
In 2021, Langstone published her debut book; a collection of essays entitled Times Like These. It details the raw and emotional journey of dealing with grief following the passing of her father, her struggles with IVF, childhood relationships, anxiety, love and hope.
Langstone has recently returned from the US after being invited to attend the Comic Convention in Erie, Pennsylvania; a throwback to her role as Dr. Katherine "Kat" Manx and Master Guin in Power Rangers: Jungle Fury.
