Stage and screen actor Bronwyn Turei has been appearing on stage at Circa Theatre this month playing not one, but five different character’s in a reimagining of Sense and Sensibility.
Graduating from UNITEC’s Performing and Screen Arts degree with a major in acting, Turei became known to television audiences after appearing in Go Girls, Brokenwood Mysteries, and Dirty Laundry. She’s been part of a wide range of productions across Aotearoa including the premiere of Morning Star by Albert Beltz and Little Shop of Horrors with Auckland Theatre Company. She’s also a singer-songwriter.
Joining Culture 101 as the Fast Favourites guest this week, Tueri discusses and highlights three concepts; emerging indigenous voices in theatre, juggling motherhood and her career with her partner who’s also in the arts and music as a love language.
