Arts news for 20 October 2024

The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi revealed its eight Laureate Award recipients on Friday night.

Receiving a total of 280 thousand dollars - they're recognised for their outstanding practice as well as their significant impact to their art form and Aotearoa New Zealand.

They are Alison Wong for Literature, Carin Wilson for design, Claire Cowan and Horomona Horo for music, Lonnie Hutchinson and Saskia Leek for the Visual Arts, and Miriama McDowell and Victor Rodger for Theatre
