Both the incoming and the outgoing Poets Laureate join us this morning for some poetic inspiration on Easter Monday. Selina Tusitala Marsh has recently handed over the baton to David Eggleton, who is also on the programme at 11.40am.
Selina has written something especially for this day after the mini-storm overnight.

Poetry plays
The infinite game
It's backyard touch footy
Over the test match
It's impromptu games
Over re-runs of CATS
It's the tyre-bound raft race
Over the Americas Cup
It's 'there's always more'
Over 'there's not enough'
Sacrifice the spectator in the stand
Paid tickets waving in their hand
Sacrifice the rule-book, its roman numeral font
Sacrifice the won't, the should, the can't
Enter the tomb shrouded in the unseen question
Roll away the stone of the foregone conclusion
And on the third day
Rise to your why
Try it this way, let your line begin
'In everything I do, I believe in…'
