Houses may need to be rebuilt after Christchuch gas explosion
A number of houses may need to be rebuilt after the gas explosion at a home in Christchurch. The blast inside a house on Marble Court in Northwood on Friday destroyed one home and damaged several others. Six people were injured - one remains in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital, along with three who are in a stable condition. Another is in a stable condition at Auckland's Middlemore Hospital. About 50 houses were evacucated on Friday - not all residents have been able to return yet. Ken lives just two door away from the home that exploded, and told our producer Lydia Batham he thinks a number of properties could be damaged beyond repair.
