Former Gloriavale member welcomes social worker support

A Givealittle crowdfunding campaign has been set up to raise 100-thousand dollars for a social worker to provide support for people who leave the Gloriavale religious community after revelations more than 30 people have fled in the past year. James Harrison, his wife and twelve children fled the West Coast in March 2015. The former Gloriavale member told our producer Lydia Batham the outside support his family received was vital after his family left the Christian community after more than 25 years with just 40 dollars and a sewing machine between them.
