Residents to be told if properties at risk of sea level rise
A Tasman clifftops resident reckons there's too much hype over climate change. The Tasman District Council has embarked on a plan to inform coastal residents if their property might be subject to sea level rise, and wants to hear about what might be done about it. Bob Haswell runs a luxury retreat above Ruby Bay - a place pummelled by the tropical storm Fehi that struck Nelson-Tasman 18 months ago. He told our Nelson reporter Tracy Neal that climate change needs to be approached with a swig of chardonnay.
