Tech commentator shocked at Spark Sport's patchy rugby coverage

A technology commentator was shocked at the quality of Spark Sport's rugby coverage which interrupted Saturday night's stream of the game between the All Blacks and the Springboks. The feed was disrupted so often that Spark Sport was forced to simulcast the second half of the game on free-to-air TVNZ. The telco blamed the problems on the overseas network that supplied the livestream, but said it was confident improvements it's made will improve the viewing experience. Tech commentator Steve Simms, who also runs the Birkenhead Brewing Company bar, told First Up producer Matthew Theunissen that punters weren't happy with the quality of the broadcast.
