Karakia held for injured Flaxmere boy

A karakia was held in Flaxmere Park last night for the four-year-old boy who was left severely injured after being beaten at a house in the area two weeks ago. The boy's now in Starship hospital with brain damage and injuries that Detective Inspective Mike Foster described as among the worst he's seen in his 30-year career. Community worker Lynsey Abbott called the Karakia and told First Up's Lydia Batham she decided to do it after reading the news about the little boy.
