Tourists will be able to access Milford Sound by road today, after heavy rain damaged it earlier this month. The country's most popular tourist destination has been cut off to tourists by road since the State of Emergency was declared in Southland, with tourist operators anxiously waiting for the road to be repaired. Tim Hunter is chief executive of Southern Discoveries and has six coaches going into Milford Sound today.
