This Is Us: Mahmood Bhikoo and Latifa Daud

Today, we continue sharing stories from RNZ's This Is Us series, showcasing the diversity of Muslim New Zealanders following the events of March 15th last year. Mahmood Bhikoo's family arrived in New Zealand from India over a century ago. As one of the handful of Muslim families in New Zealand at the time, they were involved in establishing the first prayer sessions and mosque in Ponsonby. Today we hear from Mahmood and his granddaughter Latifa Daud about their battle with Islamophobia.
