Desert plant blooms enormous flower in North Shore
A North Shore family thinks they may be eligible for the Guinness Book of World records, after an 11-foot flower bloomed in their backyard. The mysterious plant sat in the garden for years, but has only recently started thriving amid Auckland's drought-like conditions. It's owner, Annmaree Foy-Turner told our reporter Katie Doyle about the plant, and her shock when it sprouted.
