Foodstuffs South Island CEO says be kind to each other

Have you been to the supermarket recently only to discover there's no pasta or toilet paper? As the number of coronavirus cases grows, many are stocking up for potential self isolation. In a bid to curb panic buying, Countdown has announced people will only be allowed to buy two of each product including toilet paper, hand sanitiser, personal wash, panadol, wipes, pasta and rice. Supermarkets in the South Island are also struggling to keep up with demand - but Foodstuffs South Island's CEO Steve Anderson told First Up's Ellie Jay they're preparing for what might happen in the next few months.
