Marlborough wine growers hoping fortunes remain
Wine growers who've basked in a golden autumn harvest are now facing a bumpy road ahead. Industry organisation Wine Marlborough says New Zealand is in a good position in terms of its reputation, which is growing by the day, but warns maintaining a presence in nervous overseas markets will rely on some having to build new distribution channels. The managing director of Marlborough's Framingham Wines, Tom Trolove told our reporter Tracy Neal, wineries selling to Kiwi grocery markets, including supermarkets, will be buffered from the worst effects of stalled overseas markets, due to Covid-19.
