Political party funding has issues with wealth distribution

The Serious Fraud Office announced yesterday it had launched an investigation in relation to donations made to the Labour Party in 2017. In a statement, they said it was one of four investigations it was conducting in relation to electoral funding, with a fifth now before the courts. Associate professor in politics at Otago University, Brian Roper says the issue with political party funding is one of wealth distribution in New Zealand. He talked to First Up producer Ellie Jay.
