Auckland 2777kg chocolate lamington breaks record

We've beaten the Aussies, taking the title for the world's largest lamington. To celebrate World Lamington Day yesterday a chocolate lamington weighing nearly 2800 kilogram - equivalent to almost 50,000 individual lamingtons, was made in Auckland by home delivery food service Cook's Night Off and Creative Edge Food Co. The event took place at Sylvia Park and for a donation people could eat as much as they liked. Our reporter Louise Ternouth spoke to the owner of Cook's Night Off Suzanne Cannell just after winning the record.
