Winners of Dairy Business of the Year tell us about the win

Waikato dairy farmers Richard and Nadine McCullough have a 383 hectare dairy farm near Lake Karapiro, milking 650 friesian cows supplying milk to Open Country Dairy. They are this year's winners of Dairy Business of the Year and credit their farm consultant for a big part in the win, changing the way they farm and constantly improving farming techniques. Since moving to their current farm they have now become 100 percent Winter Milk - meaning they calve in autumn - March, April and May when the weather is drier and they end up having a bit more of summer. Producer Katrina Batten asked Richard and Nadine about the win and how their farm consultant had changed how they think about their farm and the awards.
