How to pass on the family farm to children without incidents
The problem of passing on the family farm to kids has long been a headache for farmers. But it's become even more of a predicament as the farming population ages. There's a range of questions - what if only some of the kids want to go farming? How can you be fair to all? And what if you can't cut the farm into pieces - and still be economic. Philip Guscott has been helping families on sheep and beef farms avoid family rifts for more than three decades. He spoke to Country Life producer Sally Round about why it is such a big issue for farmers.
