Hoot, hoot - this story is cute!
Over the weekend, First Up visited a baby barn owl who was born about a month ago.
The nameless bird is being hand-reared by Noel Hyde at Rotorua's Wingspan National Bird of Prey Trust - with the hope it'll become part of their centre's flying display.
Noel proudly told producer Ellie Jay about barn owl's early development.
