AK commuters warned of significant delays crossing Bridge

From First Up, 5:46 am on 21 September 2020

People travelling to or from Auckland's North Shore this morning are being urged to avoid the Harbour Bridge or to use public transport after the bridge was damaged when a truck tipped over in heavy wind on Friday. The central four lanes of the eight-lane bridge remain closed to traffic while engineers assess the damage and try to come up with a fix. The Transport Agency, Waka Kotahi, is warning commuters to expect significant delays and says it could be weeks before the bridge fully reopens. Our producer Matthew Theunissen spoke with the agency's journey manager Neil Walker.
