Simone McKirdy runs Descend Scuba diving in Milford sound with her husband Lance. He's the reason she started diving and after a stint operating in Queenstown, they moved across the hills to Milford Sound taking people out on guided dive days in the unique waters of the sound.
This year has been tough, firstly with the Milford floods and then coronavirus lockdowns. Simone told producer Ellie Jay what is so special about diving in the sound.
