We Make Events:global initiative highlighting events industry

Dozens of buildings around New Zealand will tonight turn red to bring awareness to the plight of the events industry. 'We Make Events' is a global call to action to show how Covid-19 has devastated the industry with overnight cancellations of major festivals and live events all around the world. The supply chain of people who do everything from punching the tickets to putting up a stage is under major strain and with no sign of the events business picking up any time soon, thousands of skilled events professionals have been out of work since March.
