Trout and Salmon fishing season opens

The trout and salmon fishing season opens today for many of the country's - and the world's - best freshwater fishing rivers and lakes. Fishing guides have been hit incredibly hard by the borders being shut so are hoping that more New Zealanders will take the opportunity to float a fly or two down stream. Our producer Matthew Theunissen spoke to central North Island fly fishing stalwart Brian Willson, from Fishing and Guiding Turangi, about how the season's shaping up.
