Invercargill Deputy Mayor Toni Biddle on why she resigned

To Invercargill now, where deputy mayor Toni Biddle resigned last week citing the city council's toxic environment and the difficulty of having to perform the mayor's job for him. Sir Tim Shadbolt is New Zealand's longest serving mayor, serving nine terms in Invercargill, and two earlier terms as Mayor of Waitemata. But the Department of Internal Affairs is taking a hard look at the council as infighting and dysfunction mars this term. Ms Biddle spoke to our Otago-Southland reporter, Timothy Brown, about why she left.
