Respiratory diseases like asthma, bronchiectasis and childhood pneumonia are New Zealand's third most common cause of death after cancer and heart disease. But Pacific people are the hardest hit, with Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ saying across all age groups, their hospitalisation rates are much higher for respiratory diseases, compared to other ethnic groups. RNZ Pacific's Sela Jane Hopgood looked to see what political parties will do to address this alarming health problem in the Pasifika community.
