Auckland prepared to host America's Cup parade if wanted
30,000 people turned out at Auckland's Viaduct yesterday afternoon to watch Emirates Team New Zealand make history and celebrate St Patricks Day at the same time. There was a good fireworks display last night. Team New Zealand has asked for there not to be a ticker-tape parade to celebrate the victory. The team says it doesn't want Auckland ratepayers and the Council to foot any more bills. Auckland's Mayor Phil Goff joined Nathan Rarere.
