Govt has $5m set aside for next America's Cup defence

The Government has earmarked five million dollars for Team New Zealand to retain core members to defend the next America's Cup. Deputy Prime Minister Grant Robertson says he's immensely proud of Peter Burling's team and the Luna Rossa crew who travelled halfway around the world in a global pandemic to mount their challenge. He told Nathan Rarere discussions on how to hold onto the event in New Zealand in 2023 would need to start almost immediately.
