Rowing's Maadi Cup is back on Lake Karapiro

After the forced cancellation of last year's Maadi Cup due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the national secondary school's regatta is back underway for the first time since 2019 at Lake Karapiro. With a record turn out of almost 2,500 athletes from around 120 schools, it's a welcome return to competition for young rowers across the country. Our sports reporter Finlay Dunseath spoke with Hamilton Boys' High School's director of rowing Glen Ross who told him he had 70 students taking part this year.
