Reti:costs to administer privately funded drugs prohibitive

The National Party's deputy leader, Shane Reti, says cancer patients are having to spend their life savings not only to get the drugs they need, but just to have them administered by their local DHB. Dr Reti says he's heard from patients up and down the country for whom the cost to administer the drugs is the straw which broke the camel's back in their fight against cancer. But when Nathan Rarere spoke to him, he began by asking what he wants to hear from the Prime Minister when she makes her announcement on the trans-Tasman travel bubble later today.
