A 103-year old mystery has been solved with the identification of the grave of an unknown New Zealand soldier killed in the First World War. The unmarked grave at the Dochy Farm 'New British Cemetery' in Belgium has now been confirmed as the final resting place of Captain Ernest Parry, 1st Battalion Auckland Regiment, who died at the Battle of Passchendaele on October 6th 1917. He was from Paeroa. New Zealand Defence Force historian, Matthew Buck told our reporter Andrew McRae it's been a long and difficult process to confirm Captain Parry's grave.
