Cyber hackers contact media to demand ransom from DHB

A group claiming to be behind the devastating cyber attack on Waikato DHB has contacted media in a bid to convince the health board to pay its ransom. Media organisations including RNZ were sent the email and a cache of material which appears to include hijacked information. It says without the group's help, the DHB will have to restore its network completely. Nathan Rarere spoke to Joerg Buss from New Zealand AI and cybersecurity firm Darkscope International.
