Work underway to identify tomato disease

From First Up, 5:12 am on 28 June 2021

Tomatoes NZ and The Ministry for Primary Industries are working to identify a strain of disease discovered on tomato plants here. Pepino Mosaci Virus - which affects the yeild of plants and delays growth of the fruit - was found in an Auckland greenhouse in April and has since spread to three other commercial greenhouses. MPI has temporarily suspended export certification to six countries including Australia, Japan and Fiji.
