From eating a rock, to a sock.. to chowing down on a pack of sewing pins... and a puffer fish. Southern Cross has released a list of its most unusual pet insurance claims of 2020. The insurer paid out almost $5000 for a labrador to get a giant ball of grass removed from its stomach and $200 for a Greyhound to have its stomach pumped after feasting on a cheese platter. Southern Cross's Pet Insurance Sales Manager Kerri Murray told RNZ reporter Carmina Blewett most of the weird and wacky claims come down to one thing.
