Social workers say changes are needed at Oranga Tamariki, so that they can make better decisions when they're faced with possible cases of abuse and neglect. The Independent Children's Monitor has flagged concerns, after an Internal review found the Ministry for Children got it wrong when it decided not to investigate nine out of 14 reports of concern. The chief executive of the Association of Social Workers, Braden Clark, spoke to our social issues reporter Sarah Robson about the figures.
