The Paralympics kick off on Wednesday and amongst our team in Tokyo is one new athlete who would never have qualified for Rio. You see Corbin Hart never thought he'd make a Paralympics. And that's because in December 2019 the 26-year-old was working as a civil construction supervisor cleaning a roading machine when his foot slipped into a hole trapping his leg in machinery. His right leg might have been taken in the accident, but his love for surfing and the water wasn't. And with fellow Olympian and friend Caitlin Regal egging him on..Corbin turned his energy to kayaking. But he told Nathan Rarere his road to Tokyo hasn't been easy.
