202 Corrections unvaxxed staff won't be working from today

From First Up, 5:46 am on 8 November 2021

More than 200 Department of Corrections staff won't be going to work today because they are yet to have at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. A public health order issued last month requires all Corrections Prison staff to have received their first shot by midnight Saturday and to be fully vaccinated by the 8th of December. The mandate comes into force for education, health and disability sector workers from next week. Corrections Association president Floyd du Plessis discussed the mandate with our producer Matthew Theunissen.
