Reti: pleased to see boosters rolled out, easy to understand
Booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine will be available in a fortnight for people who got their second dose more than six months ago. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern made the announcement yesterday, saying that 144-thousand people are already eligible for a booster, and that number will increase to nearly half a million by the end of the year. Meanwhile, Waikato will move to alert-level 2 from midnight tonight. Nathan Rarere discussed these developments with National Party deputy leader Shane Reti and began by asking whether he'd have preferred Waikato to go straight to the traffic light system to encourage greater uptake of the vaccine.
