Aucklanders prepare to travel when borders open

The Government will today reveal more details about how Auckland's border will be managed over summer. The border, which runs from Mercer in the south to Mangawhai Heads in the North, has been in place since August the 31st, with only essential workers and those with exceptional circumstances able to cross. Last week Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the government was committed to ensuring that Aucklanders can travel outside the region over Christmas, but it remains unclear whether there will be testing or proof of vaccination requirements.
