Wellington Deputy Mayor on protestors searching for new sites

From First Up, 5:53 am on 4 March 2022

The protesters who occupied Parliament for 23 days have now gone, leaving vandalised structures, graffitti, a destroyed lawn and a mountain of rubbish. And while they're no longer occupying that lawn in front of our seat of government, many are already scheming about their next move. There were reports of some groups trying to set up camps along Wellington's Mirimar Peninsula yesterday, others on the south coast and others trying to get to a Marae in Wainuiomata depsite the Marae not wanting them Joining Nathan Rarere is councillor for the Motukairangi/Eastern Ward and Deputy Mayor of Wellington, Sarah Free.
