the National Party health spokesperson Dr Shane Reti says it's not good enough for the government to blame hospital wait times on the pandemic. Yesterday, Health Minister Andrew Little announced a special taskforce to tackle delays in hospital waiting lists caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. He says it would help hospitals take whatever short-term measures they can to reduce waiting times, and will be responsible for delivering a national plan by September.
