Low income families get chance to get new EVs

As you heard earlier, low-income families who scrap their old car will get funding to buy a low-emitting vehicle in a $569 million scheme announced yesterday. It's one of the measures forming the government's first Emissions Reductions Plan, which will see the government spending $2.9 billion of the $4.5b set aside from the Climate Emergency Response Fund over the next four years. It's starting with a trial of up to 2500 cars...targetting lower income families. And joining Nathan Rarere is chief executive of the Motor Industry Association, David Crawford.
