Sensory exhibition of Otautahi: smell, feel, hear, taste city

From First Up, 5:14 am on 23 May 2022

Turn on your taringas, prepare your tastebuds because an art exhibition underway in Christchurch is shunning the visual in favour of other senses. What Might We Find When We Stop Looking? is running until May 29 at the Pumanawa Community Exhibition Space. Multimedia artist Jo Burzynska went on a series of sensory walks through Otautahi, recording sounds, foraging food and collected materials incorporated into the exhibition. Nick Trubridge spoke to Jo about her latest exhibition, and started by asking what attendees are in for.
