Apple forced to change charger connector on iPhones
In homes around New Zealand there are drawers and boxes full of old device cables that don't fit but we hang on to them "just in case" And if you've ever thought that it could all be solved by have ONE standardized charging cable, well done! Its about to become a reality here. Apple will be forced to change the connector on iPhones sold in Europe by 2024 after EU countries and lawmakers agreed to a single charging port for mobile phones, tablets and cameras. Nathan Rarere talked with technology commentator Peter Griffin and asked if this move by the EU was big news in the tech world.
