Nelson MP on region's rain damage

The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern arrived in Nelson last night and will today survey the damage caused by the region's devastating floods. Hundreds of homes have been evacuated due to flooding and slips, with some deemed to be uninhabitable. About a hundred stricken residents yesterday attended a community meeting to discuss the state of affairs, with Mayor Rachel Reese warning it could take years for the area to recover.
