Inflatable slide company fined $350,000

Worksafe has imposed a 350-thousand dollar fine on an inflatable slide company behind a string of incidents and injuries. The health and safety regulator says that JTK Trustee Limited -- trading as 'Fun Solutions' -- put people in "extreme danger" when their slide collapsed at the 2020 Whangamata Summer Festival. But this is not the first time Worksafe has dealt with JTK, as Tom Taylor reports. Director of the company 'Fun solutions' Eric Gerritsen didn't show up to court yesterday and could not be contacted by RNZ, but WorkSafe's area investigation manager Paul West was there.
