3 South Is councils union members join forces for better pay

For the first time, union members at three councils at the top of the South Island are joining forces as they enter collective agreement negotiations. The workers say they've had enough of being paid "sunshine wages", a supposed trade-off for living in the regions. But the chief executive of one of the councils says the joint approach may draw out the negotiation process, while workers need extra money in their pockets now. Tom Taylor has the story.
